ZIM 020 Has Launched!

image

We are part way through updating the site and will finish tomorrow. We will get the updates page done tomorrow too and start working on Bubbling vids. We have a few more features to add too - but the main work is the Chart module. We plan on bringing some more examples into the docs as well - but the 020 feature page has good examples on it.

So more on the way.

happy ZIM teacher!

Just completed another set of site updates and updated the updates page at https://zimjs.com/updates.html

Note in the bottom of the 020 section, there is a list of what has been updated and what is still to come. So will be working on the still to come in the next few days.

The 020 Expo has been made, the Editor (and Slate) now has the Chart module added. The docs for the most part have a second more full example for the chart - and as we were already doing, we have removed the ZIM namespace in the examples. When we build, we build a module that requires the namespace initially, then we finalize and have to remember to remove the namespaces.

Oh... haha - had not set the changes live. The Docs are now updated.

Added gesture() trackpad support - thanks @karelrosseel82 for the idea.

Added the new Chart Library page at ZIM Chart Library - graphs, plots, word clouds, championship round robin tournaments - ZIM JavaScript Canvas Framework - Code Creativity with ZIMjs!

Updated all the NPM packages to ZIM 20.0.0 dependencies and added NPM and GitHub Chart module. Updated the dev site with ZIM 020 and chart module.

Will start on the Bubbling Vids next.

super, can you add the example to the updates also and to 020?
https://zimjs.com/020/gesture

It is hardly an example. Just new Rectangle().center().gesture(); I guess we could make an example - will think about it. If we decide to make an example, we will - no need to provide us with one... I can sense your mind wheels spinning.

Three more features have been added to ZIM 020 - currently in CDN version, not yet in NPM.

  1. Noto Color SVG Emoji support
  2. Trackpad support for gesture()
  3. FirstPerson DPad support in MotionController + bubble DPad format

Thanks @karelrosseel82 for the suggestions for all three.

See the https://zimjs.com/020html page at the bottom.

Am working through bubbling vids - probably launch them tomorrow.

Also realized had not made the LiveGraph read live data - so fixing that up too.

link to 020.html is super, but recolor and saving it live not sure how you can use it in ZIM?
can you update also https://Zimjs.com/emoji

You would have to code a way to save and edited SVG - we will not. Do not discuss further here. This is our launch message. We might write something at emoji - but in general, just copy that code and paste it after "noto_whateverCode". And we still need to do Editor versions of these - before you tell us we need Editor versions.
