Creative Coding encompasses the disciples within which software engineering is used to create algorithmic art. Today we explore the huge number of practices that can fall under this beautiful umbrella, mainly focusing on #Algorave, which encompasses audio and visual algorithmic live-coded performances.
Vlad talks to us about many practices of creative coding, its role in our society and just how expansive this artistic practice is and the philosophical nature it can have.
We talk to Alexandra Cárdenas, a respected and experienced live-coder, improviser, algorave, programmer and musician. She dives into the importance of live-coding and the beautiful communities there are around the world and the values that they stand for. These include values of transparency, honesty and collaboration - aligning very much with those of #42Berlin.
