Why don't you just orient:true for the MotionController and not do a dial?

Why does orient not work? You need to set the direction of the rocket to the right to start. So rocket.rot(90) - or whatever the rocket is called, and pass that in to the MotionController.
Happy it works now to control without the dial to turn the rocket, much easier then using the dial also
I also made the backing moving up once when mousedown on the DPad , and animated platform of the rocket that disappears when flying up
with the ZOOM out effect when higher from the butterfly sprite
